I am a deaf art psychotherapist, trained at Sheffield Hallam University, with a passion for supporting deaf mental health. I am committed to breaking down communication barriers and making therapy accessible to everyone.
I have 18 months of experience at St Andrew’s Healthcare, a medium-secure setting, where I supported individuals with complex needs. I worked closely with those with minimal language skills, developing tailored communication approaches to build trust and connection. This experience strengthened my commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
I have experience working as an art psychotherapist in a deaf school, supporting deaf children, including those with complex needs.
Before training as an art psychotherapist, I spent 21 years as an educational assistant, supporting deaf children and children with additional needs.
